If you are visiting either Costa Rica or Dominica and want to stay in the country for more than 90 days, you will need to obtain a visa. The visa process can be done in one day in both countries.

Costa Rica:

  1. Go to the Costa Rican Embassy or Consulate in your home country.
  2. Verify your identity and citizenship.
  3. Fill out a visa application form and submit it with your passport photos and fee.
  4. You will receive a visa approval letter within 24 hours. Note: If you are a citizen of a Visa Waiver Program country, you do not need to apply for a visa, but you must still carry your passport with you at all times while in Costa Rica.
